Prison After Dark Tours
Old Joliet Prison is open at night on select summer evenings.
Learn about the darker side of the prison's history. Guided history hike through the prison takes place as the sun is setting on select evenings all summer long. A limited number of tickets are available each night, so book ahead!

October Flashlight Tours!
Old Joliet Prison is open at night on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in October.
Join us for spooky family fun as you walk through the historic site at night with flashlights. The buildings and grounds are open to wander at 5:30 pm. Flashlight included! A limited number of tickets are available each night, so book ahead!

Behind the Scenes: Guided Architecture Tour-Administration Building
See the inside of the iconic Administration Building on a guided, behind the scenes, hard hat tour.
Your guide will discuss the preservation work currently being done on the building, the history, and the future plans for the space. This is a one hour tour. Guests will have guided access to areas not available to the public. Hard hats are required during tour, we are an active construction site! Tour includes access to prison grounds for self guided tour of the rest of the site following your specialty tour.
